Courses offered by VIHE

Yuva Jagruti Vedika

A new trust and inspiration has to be given to the youth in various educational institutions, irrespective of the background.

The youth have to be trained to discover their own hidden potential and help them convert it to “Excellent Performance ”. For this, each youngster has to develop a healthy self-image of oneself.

As the great writer Emerson says,“What lies before you and what lies behind you are tiny matters compared to what lies within you and you are the only one who can use your own ability. It is an awesome responsibility.”

The potential of an average person is like a huge ocean un-sailed, a new continent unexplored, a world of possibilities waiting to be released and channeled towards some great good.

Such training is being provided at the Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence at the Ramakrishna Math.

Every Sunday hundreds of youngsters participate in the training program under the banner of Swami Vivekananda Yuva Jaagruti Vedika, which includes programmes like devotional singing, lessons in meditation and from our scriptures and the lives of great leaders, how to cultivate self-discipline, service and the spirit of sacrifice.

All the youth studying in Senior Secondary Schools and colleges are welcome to be the members of this dynamic youth group and get inspired and help others get inspired.

Become a Volunteer

Selflessness, Sacrifice, Love:

The principle of selflessness or unselfishness is an important teaching of the Holy Trio, and constitutes the very first step in the three main spiritual paths of Karma, Bhakti and Jnána. Monks of the Ramakrishna Order look upon their Sangha as the mystical body of Sri Ramakrishna, and they learn to merge their individual egos in the collective will of the Sangha. Furthermore, all their work and its fruit are offered as worship to the Lord. Individual members of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission do not claim credit for their actions.

Be a Volunteer of VIHE:

Vivekananda Institute of Human Excellence projects are executed by a combination of monastics and volunteers.Volunteers serve the Math with dedication and devotion. The Math offers ample opportunity for people with an earnest desire for serving the poor and the needy. Such selfless service helps to attain great heights in both material and spiritual life. Voluntary service can be rendered in any of the multi-functional areas of one’s expertise. It could be within the Math precincts, or even outside the Math premises.
